Since 2002 the gourmet menus at Restaurant Haerlin bear the signature of Head Chef Christoph Rüffer. The focus is set on visionary compositions which distinguish themselves by fresh, mostly seasonal ingredients, artfully combined aromas and surprising textures. Throughout the previous year, Christoph Rüffer and his team have been recognized with two Michelin Stars and 5 Gault Millau toques as well as 4½ F’s (Der Feinschmecker). Recently, Christoph Rüffer has been awarded with the title "Best Chef of the Year 2020" by "Der große Restaurant & Hotel Guide".
Christoph Rüffer looks back on a successful career and has established himself as integral part of the German culinary scene. He learned classic haute cuisine at restaurant Le Gourmet in Munich (1 Michelin star) and deepened his knowledge under the guidance of Henri Bach at Hotel Résidence in Essen (2 Michelin stars) as well as with Claus-Peter Lumpp at Hotel Bareiss in Baiersbronn (3 Michelin stars). Still in Baiersbronn, Rüffer gained more experience at Harald Wohlfahrt’s restaurant Traube Tonbach (3 Michelin stars).
